keep it like that
and life would go great
people disrecpect because they dont get respect
to get it
you should give it
like I always say
like me or not
but all I ask is to get
respect as a human being

Why do people give up in life? Or sometimes kill themselves when they come through barriers? We are reading a book called “Kindred”. Its about a women named Dana who always when back in time to different situation. Dana never gave up but she had a friend who gave up and killed herself, her name was Alice. I’m going to write about how many things can force you to give up and not try.

  First of all there’s many barriers that goes on! One example was that when Dana kept going back on time and that made her faint a lot and lose track for the real world. A second example was that when she went back for like an hour it was years in the real world, which she lost a lot of time with Kevin. In the first transition when she went to river she tried to help kids but then the mom though she was trying to kill them.

  Another reason why barriers make you give up is when Alice gave up. She was force to keep Rufus children, but lose your life. Otherwise like Dana she never gave up even though she had a friend that died. And also always saved Rufus life even though he abuses her she still cares about him. And even though she time traveled a lot she still try and kept identity of a strong, smart free black women in the world.

 Even though I was never force to keep children I could see how desperate someone could get. And also that I never killed my self I could see how many barriers could trap people to serious pain and death. I can connect because I had a friend who gave up a lot like Alice. This relates to how Alice gave up and force her self to death.

 My though is that everyone should be free in life and force to do things that can drive you to desperate things in life. I believe everyone was born free and no one should be owned by someone else. All of this comes together and could say “ Never give up in life we all have beliefs and dreams and we shouldn’t let barriers stop us from our dreams”.

My name is Juan and I'm a 8 grader at Urban Promise Academy in Oakland, Ca. I'm writing this because no more budget cuts to our schools. Urban Promise Academy needs funding for school supplies, textbook, paper etc. We also need for we could have after schools programs. My education will allow me to get a good job and get pay. My family want me to get an education so that I could have a good life. Please support my education by letting California vote on the tax extensive measure.
